There’s a word that the Greeks (Plato was the first one) used to indicate a reality that was rather difficult to define…
a word that they tried to translate in a variety of ways.
At times it was conceived as a “receptacle”, as a place, as an ‘open’ space, but also as original material.
The word in question is “chora”; there, we believe that the concept of “empty space” that on this occasion we will be trying to focus upon has something intimately to do with Plato’s “chora”.
An empty space, that is, that gives substance to all the words that are in turn rendered possible by it.
It digs and corrodes their apparent fullness and solidity like a Karstic river, enabling us to purify these words from the vulgarity of daily use.

C’è una parola che i greci (Platone per primo) utilizzavano per indicare una realtà assai difficilmente definibile…
una parola che, non a caso, si è cercato di tradurre in vari modi.
Di volta in volta la si è concepita come ‘ricettacolo’, come luogo, come spazio‘aperto’, ma anche come materia originaria.
La parola in questione è “chora”; ecco, crediamo che il concetto di “spazio vuoto”
che in questa occasione cercheremo di mettere a fuoco sia qualcosa che abbia intimamente a che fare con la “chora” platonica.
Uno spazio vuoto, cioè, che sostanzia di sé tutte le parole che da esso sono peraltro rese possibili.
E che scava e corrode come un torrente carsico la loro apparente pienezza e solidità,
consentendoci di purificarle dalla volgarità dell’uso quotidiano.
